Tony MoranThe East Coast Eagles Board of Directors would like to announce the appointment of Tony Moran to the board for 2010.

The role of Director of Finance was declared vacant when Phillip Bester, who has held the role for 2 years, decided to step down from the Board. Phil has done a magnificent job in the role overseeing many changes to the financial position of the East Coast Eagles over these 2 years. Phil has been instrumental in maintaining a strong financial position for the club, especially with the added financial burden of the fantastic new home ground facilities at Bruce Purser Reserve. Phil has also recently become engaged to his partner Renee and whilst he will still be an avid supporter of the Eagles, he is looking to spend more time with his future wife.
As per the East Coast Eagles constitution, the current board has appointed Tony Moran to the role of Director of Finance to fulfil the remaining year left vacant by Phil’s departure. Beyond 2010, the role will be up for re-election.
Tony Moran first became involved as a sponsor of the Eagles in 2008 through his (then) company Wizard Home Loans. Since then, Wizard has changed entities and is now Aussie Homes Loans, and Tony once again sponsored the Eagles under the Aussie banner in 2009.
Tony brings a wealth of experience to the Eagles Board. Whilst he is relatively new to the game of Australian Rules, he has a strong sporting history, especially in Rugby in Sydney.
Tony also brings a very sound business acumen to the East Coast Eagles and will be looking to further strengthen the clubs position as the premier club in the AFL Sydney.
Tony is also the President of the Sydney Hills Business Chamber and will work with the club to strengthen our ties with local business.
Tony is looking forward to meeting many of the Eagles members and supporters who he has not yet met and will be a regular fixture at events throughout 2010.
The East Coast Eagles are very privileged and proud to welcome Tony on board.
