East Coast Eagles 2017 XMAS State of Affairs

As the pre-Christmas portion of grueling pre-season training comes to end this week, state of affairs on the footy field at East Coast are looking up.

Everyone involved in the East Coast Eagles community, are extremely excited about the 2018 season, especially after successful club rebrandings, and the playing group is committed to continuing the momentum from last year, and transforming it into successful form on the field this year across all grades.

It’s been great to see such strong numbers, and new head coach Lindsay Scown has already made his mark during the pre-season, in preparation for an exciting new era at the football club.

In regards to this, club captain Ben Bourke had this to say:

“Pre-season so far, has been extremely positive. There has been a huge amount of enthusiasm from both the playing and coaching group. Having 90 players already attending training is a really strong base for the club to work from after Christmas and into the new season. New coach Lindsay Scown has been outstanding in setting the standards expected, along with new strength and conditioning coach Geoff Wood. The squad is looking very fit, and has worked extremely hard in the very warm summer heat sweating it out all together. The combination of the senior men, U19s and female Eagals training together so far in the preseason, has been an outstanding bonding experience where the whole club is working together to improve to make themselves and their teams better as a whole.”

Also, the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held this past Wednesday on the 13th of December at The Fiddler, Rouse Hill.

The East Coast Eagles Board for 2018 is:

President: Jon Gawley
Vice President: David Arndt
Director of Facilities: Paul Meyer
Directors: Bronwyn Bailey, Paul Eastman and Paul Meyer.

Not standing on the night, due to work commitments, was David Hemmings who will still continue in his role running the Eagles Academy and will report to David Arndt.

In 2018, the East Coast Eagles Football Club are also proud to have the ongoing support, in particular, of our Majors sponsors: Vesta Homes, Mansfield Corporation, Kanebridge Group, KFC, Micron Manufacturing, Sportsphysio Norwest.

Finally, on behalf of everyone at the East Coast Eagles Football Club, we wish all players, officials, supporters and community members a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May 2018 bring all the best for you and your family.
